The Imaginarium Studios is a Motion and Performance capture studio that is always story-led as far as the projects we work on.  With a unique and customized approach to every project we assemble the right technology to achieve the creative visions of our clients and partners. The studio was founded in 2012 by Andy Serkis who, inspired by his experience with performance capture while filming the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, decided to establish a world class facility in the UK.

Based at London’s legendary Ealing Studios, The Imaginarium Studios has worked on a huge variety of projects, many of them world firsts.  In May 2017, the studio went through a reorganization that saw The Imaginarium Studios become independent and self-contained: leading to a focused and streamlined team and business model.

We are constantly exploring new platforms, technology, and ways of using motion and performance capture to tell stories.  Whether it be for a major Hollywood feature, a live theatrical performance, children’s TV or an emerging platform such as mixed reality - we ensure that our partners and clients are trailblazers.
